How is the scalp different from other skin areas?

Scalp skin is thicker than facial skin, providing ample blood flow and a strong anchor for hair follicles, and it has more sebaceous glands. It also tends to have a weaker protective barrier than the rest of our skin as it is normally covered by hair fibers. Excess oil in combination with this more delicate barrier can make it difficult to properly clean, requiring intentional care.

Are Satinique products paraben-, cyclic silicone- and sulfate-free?

Yes, our products do not contain cyclic silicone oils, while still maintaining efficacy for smooth, silky hair.

What should I do if I notice a lot of hair falling out while shampooing?

Excessive hair fall is likely due to an underlying condition. Hair fall could also be normal shedding or a result of observing hair more carefully while using a new product. If you are concerned about hair loss, consider seeking counsel from a physician.

Apply to damp hair and scalp. Massage into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Avoid contact with eyes. Follow with Anti-Hair Fall Conditioner for best results.
